O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 01.10.2021 based on the recommendation made by the fourth respondent through proceedings dated 22.04.2021.

¶2Heard the learned counsel on either side.

¶3The case of the petitioner is that her husband was brutally murdered on 18.04.2021 and as a result, the petitioner and her children were left in lurch. A recommendation was made through the proceedings of the fourth respondent dated 22.04.2021, wherein, the request made by the petitioner for compensation and for compassionate appointment was forwarded to the Government. Since there was no progress, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents and this also did not evoke any response. Left with no other option, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.

¶4When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents produced the written instructions received from the District Collector, Tirunelveli. ¶5It is clear from the above that a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only) had already been paid to the petitioner towards compensation and with regard to the employment sought for, it is under consideration by the Government and orders will be passed in this regard shortly. As a result, the grievance expressed by the petitioner has been redressed and recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
