ORDER The petitioner, a practising Advocate, has been appointed as a Panel Lawyer for the Co-operative Urban Bank, Kumbakonam, vide G.O.(D)No.132-CP2 dated 20.07.2012 . His grievance is that though he has been appointed by the Government as a Panel Lawyer for the said Bank, the 6th and 7th respondents have not provided any files to him to discharge his duty. Therefore, he has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 to take appropriate action by considering his representations.

¶2The 5th respondent has filed a counter affidavit on 21.06.2017, wherein, it has been specifically stated as follows: "It is submitted the Managing Director of the Kumbakonam Co-operative Bank was instructed to take action to appoint Thiru R.Karthick Kumar as panel lawyer to the Bank and utilize his service for obtaining legal opinion on the loan files. The Board of Management of the said Urban Bank has passed a resolution No.20 dated 30.11.2016 and decided to give loan files to R.Karthick Kumar in future. Hence, it is submitted that the Board of Management of the Kumbakonam Urban Co-operative has acceded the request of the petitioner R.Karthick Kumar and complied with the Government Order."

¶3In view of the specific stand taken by the 5th respondent, this writ petition is disposed of as no further order is required. No costs.
