Judgment
O R D E R The present writ petition has been filed by Driver of the respondent Transport Corporation who is now working on alternative employment as Non-I.T Helper challenging the order of transfer from Tirunelveli to Tenkasi.
¶2It is the contention of the petitioner that the transfer is effected in the non-academic period and his daughter is studying in 6th Standard in the Vannarpettai Corporation Middle School, Tirunelveli District.
¶3Considering the fact that the petitioner is in service at Vannarpettai for the past seven years, this Court is not inclined to interfere in the order impugned in the writ petition. However, in view of the fact that the transfer has been effected during non-academic period and the petitioner's daughter is studying in the 6th Standard, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:
(i) This writ petition is dismissed, confirming the order of transfer; and
(ii) However, the petitioner may be relieved from Tirunelveli only with effect from 30.04.2024.
¶4With the above said observations, this Writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
