J.Latha, Drawing Teacher, v. The State of Tamil Nadu

ORDER This writ petition is filed to approve the appointment of the petitioner, from 17.11.2014 onwards, with all attendant benefits.

¶2Heard Mr.E.V.N.Siva, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Om Prakash, learned Government Advocate appearing for 1 to 4 respondents. Perused the material document available on record.

¶3The petitioner was appointed in the 5th respondent school as a Drawing teacher. The petitioner is in possession of certificate issued by the State of Kerala. The respondents ought to have considered equivalency before considering for approval of appointment. The school has submitted a proposal to the official respondents and the respondents have not passed any order.

¶4Considering the facts stated above, the respondents are directed to consider and pass orders. If the petitioner fulfills all conditions of recruitment, the respondents shall consider the same for approval. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

¶5With these directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Index : Yes / No
