13.08.2026 at Sannasipatti Muniyandi Temple, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 05.08.2026, this writ petition is filed.
¶2Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondent, notice to the private respondent is dispensed with.
¶3The learned counsel appearing for the 6th respondent submitted that they have no objection in permitting the petitioner and his group for worshipping during the Aadi Amavasai festival. However, he made it clear that the petitioner should not claim any poosari rights.
¶4The learned counsel for the petitioner made it clear that they are not claiming any poosari rights, but only the right of worship.
¶5Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.
¶6Considering the rival submissions, this Court hereby makes it clear that the 6th respondent should not prevent the petitioner and his family or any person from worshipping the temple deity on Aadi Amavasai and on any other days in Sannasipatti Muniyandi Temple, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District both inside and outside the temple.
¶7The 5th respondent police is directed to monitor the same and make sure that none of the persons including the petitioner or any villager is being excommunicated from participating in Aadi Amavasai festival, more particularly from worshipping the principal deity inside the temple. It is made clear that the petitioner should not claim first honor.
