Judgment

ORDER The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to pass orders in Na.Ka.No.416/2025/A1, cancel the alleged Patta No.1901 and issue patta in favour of the petitioner's family members in respect of the property situated at Narasingampatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, comprised in Patta No.1901, measuring an extent of 1 acre in Survey No.11/4, within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.T.R.Subramanian, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.L.Siva, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the private respondents, notice to them is dispensed with. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.It is seen from the typed set of papers that the petitioner's cousin, Chandramoorthy, who is the third respondent herein, had earlier filed W.P(MD)No.22507 of 2025 seeking a similar relief. The said writ petition was disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to conclude the enquiry initiated by him in Na.Ka.No.416/2025/A1 and pass final orders within a period of twelve weeks. The present writ petition has been filed seeking completion of the enquiry and passing of orders in favour of the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2, would submit that, pursuant to the direction issued by this Court in the earlier writ petition, the enquiry has already been completed and orders are awaited.

5.Since the enquiry has already been completed by the 1st respondent, this Court is not inclined to go into the merits of the matter or issue any positive direction in favour of the petitioner. However, in view of the earlier order passed in W.P(MD)No.22507 of 2025, the 1st respondent is directed to pass final orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
