Judgment
O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by M.SUNDAR, J.] When the matter was taken up, Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, who accepted notice for respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.S.Ravi, learned State Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepted notice for respondents 4 and 5 submitted as follows: 1) Government Pleader submitted that proceedings have been commenced under Section 203 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 and other proceedings under Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 are also on the anvil; 2) Learned State Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that verification of genuineness of the complaint is underway.
¶2Learned counsel for petitioner also submits that he was summoned by the police for statement. This buttresses the submission of learned State Additional Public Prosecutor that verification of bona fides of the complaint is underway.
¶3The narrative thus far makes it clear that the laws have been set in motion and thereafter all that remains is that it has to be carried to its logical end and PIL petitioner's grievance has been addressed.
¶4Be that as it may, with the consent of both sides, we are now disposing of captioned Writ Petition. This means we are acutely conscious of the fact that sixth respondent [private respondent] is not before us. Therefore, we make it clear that all the rights and contentions of sixth respondent and/or any other person concerned with this matter are preserved for being canvassed in connected / collateral proceedings proceedings in any other Court/s/Forum/Fora/Authority/Authorities. We further make it clear that such Court/s/Forum/Fora/Authority/Authorities shall proceed with the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law untrammelled by this order which has been made only for the limited purpose of giving a closure to the captioned Writ Petition.
¶5Captioned Writ Petition is disposed of as closed capturing what unfurled in the hearing today. There shall be no order as to costs.
