O R D E R The present writ petition has been filed by a Junior Engineer, who was working in the Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) seeking a mandamus as against the authorities to revoke the order of suspension and place him in a non-sensitive post.

¶2The petitioner has been placed under suspension, vide order, dated

22.06.2017 for his implication in a criminal case arising out of Prevention of Corruption Act. So far, the authorities have not reconsidered the suspension order, even though six years lapsed.

¶3The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents authorities brought to the notice of this Court that they have to obtain "No Objection Certificate" from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption

(DVAC) Department for reinstating the petitioner in a non-sensitive post.

¶4Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner, dated 23.10.2023 and pass appropriate orders based upon the orders to be passed by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) Department within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

¶5With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
