Additional Public Prosecutor PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.20/2023 on the file of the Respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w. Section 20(b), (ii)(b), 29(1) Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.20 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

¶2The case of the prosecution is that on receiving secret information the respondent police has conducted a raid and at that time, the petitioner herein and other accused have illegally found in possession of 2 kgs of ganja. Hence the case.

¶3Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

¶4Considering the serious nature of allegations made against the petitioner and also considering the gravity of offence, this Court is not inclined to anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

¶5Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
