O R D E R The present writ petition has been filed by an Assistant Engineer of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board seeking a mandamus as against the respondents for expeditious completion of the departmental proceedings.

¶2According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner was issued with a Charge Memo on 22.05.2019 and he was not permitted to retire on 31.05.2022. The enquiry proceedings have been completed and report has been submitted to the disciplinary authority on

03.05.2023. As on today, the enquiry report is pending before the second respondent for passing final orders.

¶3Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

¶4Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to pass final orders on or before 22.01.2024. Based upon the said orders, consequential orders if any, have to be passed, the same shall be passed by the respondents 3 and 4 herein within a period of four weeks thereafter.

¶5With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
