Athisankar.S v. The District Collector

ORDER Heard both sides.

2.TVS Co-operative Stores Limited is running two fair price shops. Since instances of financial mismanagement were reported, the Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies had issued proceedings for handing over the said two fair price shops to Pudukkotai District Consumer Wholesale Co-operative Stores Limited. Now the question that arises regarding the fate of the employees working in the fair price shops. The petitioner is one of them. Apprehending that he may be left high and dry, the present writ petition came to be filed challenging the transfer order.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate clarified that the petitioner will be accommodated as salesman in the TVS Store Supermarket. In other words, the petitioner will enjoy both pay as well as cadre production.

4.I am of the view that interference is not warranted. This writ petition is disposed of by recording the stand of the respondents. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
