Decided

Bench

Case no.
WP(MD) 30075/2023

Judgment

ORDER Heard both sides.

¶2The only request made in the writ petition is that his lease should be cancelled. Such a request is made because the petitioner does not want his liability to accumulate further. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the corporation would submit that the petitioner is in huge arrears. Cancellation of the lease has nothing to do with the right of the respondent to proceed against the petitioner for recovery of the arrears.

¶3The respondent is directed to cancel the petition mentioned lease immediately and without any delay. Granting liberty to the respondent to take steps for recovering the arrears, the Writ Petition is allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
