ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioners allege that an UDR error has to be corrected. The first respondent is the authority competent to do so. It is stated that the second respondent is conducting enquiry into the petitioners' representation.

3.The second respondent is directed to conclude enquiry within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and submit report to the first respondent. The first respondent is directed to pass an appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks thereafter. The respondents are requested to adhere to the time limit. I am saying so because the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioners' houses are to be demolished shortly by the highways authority. The payment of compensation depends on the outcome of the present proceedings.

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
