O R D E R The present writ petition has been filed by a Salesman in Vadugapatti Primary Agricultural Co-operative Bank Limited. The petitioner herein has challenged the Direct Recruitment Notification issued by the District Recruitment Bureau, Pudukkottai District calling for applications for filling up the post of Assistants in various Co-operative Societies.

¶2The apprehension of the writ petitioner is that when the post of Assistant in the Society is filled up, his promotion opportunities would be affected.

¶3The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents authorities brought to the notice of this Court that the post of Assistant in the Vadukapatti Primary Agricultural Co-operative Bank has not been notified in the impugned notification. The said post is not filled up through the present selection process of the District Recruitment Bureau. Therefore, the apprehension of the writ petitioner is mis-conceived.

¶4The learned Additional Advocate General also brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has also applied for under the said notification for the post of Assistant in other Society.

¶5Considering the above said facts, this Court is of the view that the writ petition is misconceived and the same is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
