O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to remove the Veerapatiran and Madurai Veeran Sannathi and replace in the left side of the main deity and install the 4 statues namely Sangili Karuppu, Santhana Karuppu, Sappani Karuppu and Uthira Karuppu in the existing Sannathi and reshape the Pachaaye Amman, Kaathavaryan, Elephant and Horse statues and remove the statues in the vimanam of new sannathi by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 28.10.2025.

¶2When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner has prayed for the above relief, it would suffice, if this Court directed the respondent to take appropriate decision with regard to the removal of the statues in the vimanam of new sannathi, after hearing the petitioner.

¶3The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that after issuing notice to the petitioner and after hearing the petitioner, the respondents would take a decision with regard to the installation and removal of the statues.

¶4In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to issue notice to the petitioner and after hearing the petitioner, the respondents shall take a necessary decision with regard to the installation and removal of the statues. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

¶5With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
