Heard Mr. M. Rendy, learned counsel for the petitioner. [2]

The case of the petitioner is that she was appointed as Primary Teacher on ad-hoc basis vide order dated 04.10.1997 issued by the Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur. It is stated that the name of the petitioner as per the Education Certificate issued by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur and Manipur University is written as Laishram Shakhi Devi. In the DPC proceeding dated

28.12.2016, her name is shown at Serial No. 224 as L. Sakhi Devi and in the order dated 16.10.2023, her name is shown at Serial No. 94 as Laishram Sakhi Devi and in the order dated 20.04.2023 issued by the Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur for regularizing the service of the petitioner and others, her name is shown at Serial No. 100 as Laishram Sakhi Devi. [3]

Vide letter dated 20.10.2023 sent by MES-I/Zonal Education Officer (Zone – II), Government of Manipur to Nodal Officer

(CPIS), Office of the Director Education (S), Government of Manipur for inclusion of newly appointed Teachers in the CPIS, the name of the petitioner is shown correctly as Laishram Shakhi Devi. However, due to discrepancies in the spelling of the petitioner as Laishram Shakhi Devi and Laishram Sakhi Devi, her name is not included in the CPIS. Accordingly, the petitioner submitted a representation dated

18.12.2023 to (i) The Principal Secretary/Commissioner/Secretary, Education (S), Government of Manipur and (ii) The Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur for making necessary correction of her name in the promotion, regularization, posting and transfer order. It is submitted that the representation is still pending and due to this, the petitioner could not get any salary and service benefits. [4]

Mr. M. Rendy, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that writ petition may be disposed of with innocuous order directing the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 18.12.2023 by passing a speaking order within a stipulated period of time. [5]

Ms. Ch. Sundari, learned G.A. appearing on behalf of the State respondent, is agreeable to the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner provided that this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case. [6]

Recording the submissions of the learned counsel for the parties, writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 18.12.2023 submitted by the petitioner within a period of 3 (three) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [7]

It is made clear that this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case. [8]

With this observation, writ petition is disposed of. [9]

Furnish a copy of this order to the learned counsel appearing for all the parties.
