All the writ petitions are taken up together since common questions of law and facts are involved. By means of filing the present writ petitions, the petitioners have prayed for the following reliefs: "i. Issue Rule upon the Respondents to show cause as to why Writ in the nature of mandamus and/or Order/direction shall not be issued whereby directing the Respondents to issue offer of appointment in favour of the petitioner in the post of Junior Operator (Pump)/Lower Division Clerk, in connection with Advt. No. 01/2020 and Notification dated 12.02.2021, for the posts of Group-C [(Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Agriculture Assistant (Except TAFS Grade-III), Agriculture Assistant (TAFS Grade-III), Junior Operator (Pump) & Junior Multi-Tasking Operator (Uncommon)]; ii. Make the rules absolute; iii. Pass any further order/orders as this Hon'ble High Court considered fit and proper."

Heard Mr. D. Paul, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. D. Sarma, learned Additional GA appearing for the respondents. It is the case of the petitioners that they have successfully appeared in JRBT examination for appointment to the post of Group 'C'. It is the further case of the petitioners that some of the successful candidates have already been offered with the appointment letters, but, till today similar appointment letters have not been issued in favour of the petitioners. Mr. Paul, learned Counsel for the petitioners has submitted that vacancies exist under Group 'C' posts and the petitioners are entitled to be appointed against those vacant posts. Mr. Sarma, learned Additional GA appearing for the respondents-State has submitted that the vacancies would be filled up as and when the respondents would feel necessary. In view of that, I direct the respondents to consider the appointment of the petitioners in the post of Group 'C', if they fulfill all the eligibility criteria in accordance with law. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petitions stand disposed.
