Heard the counsel for the petitioners. The organization in which the petitioners were previously employed is not located within the territorial jurisdiction of this High Court. Merely because the petitioners are residing within the jurisdiction of this High Court, this High Court's jurisdiction could not have been invoked by them. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed on the ground of lack of jurisdiction with liberty to the petitioners to approach the Gauhati High Court within whose jurisdiction their employer carries on business. Pending application (s), if any, also stands disposed of.
